Student finds video game system missing after hosting party

- An unidentified person stole a Playstation 2, the controllers and a cell phone from a Syracuse University student’s apartment between 6 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 20 on the 100 block of Oakland Street, according to a Syracuse Police Department report.

The student hosted a party with 30 people on Oct. 19. Sometime between between 6 p.m. on Oct 19 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 20 the student saw that the items were missing, the report added.

The property belonged to the student’s former roommate in Pennsylvania, the report stated.


- An unidentified person stole an SU student’s laptop from an apartment at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 1000 block of Adams Street, according to a police report.

The student dropped off some property at the apartment at 11 p.m., the report added.

The student’s roommate walked in the apartment and thought the student was there because the door was unlocked. The roommate saw the student’s Compaq laptop was missing and called the student, the report stated.

The student is positive he locked the deadbolt when he left and the suspect did not force any windows open, the report added


- An unidentified person stole an SU student’s Sony Playstation 2 and accessories from an apartment at about 1 a.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of Winding Ridge Road, according to a police report.

The student went to bed at 1 a.m and forgot to close his sliding door after he smoked a cigarette. He woke up at 11 a.m. and found his Playstation 2 and accessories missing from the living room table, the report added.


- An unidentified person smashed the window of an SU student’s car and stole a camcorder and a digital camera between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Oct. 16 from a rear parking lot on the 500 block of University Avenue, according to a police report.

The unidentified person opened the trunk from the inside of the car and stole the camcorder and digital camera, the report added.
