After the tribe returned from tribal council, Chris expressed surprise about the switch by Julie and Twila to vote off Rory. However, Chris was somewhat hopeful for the future.
"The game's not over," he said. "Anything can happen."
The reward challenge was a trivia game where, if a contestant answered correctly, he or she got to eliminate fellow tribe members. After the group of six women got rid of the guys, the first woman eliminated was Eliza. Scout, who knocked her out, said, "She's a smart one," in reference to Eliza, who wasn't happy.
"And you're not," Eliza said quietly, to the delight of the men.
Leann won the reward, a helicopter ride to a volcano, and shared the trip with Julie. With time alone, Leann and Julie questioned the purpose of keeping Eliza in the tribe.
"She doesn't do anything at all," said Julie. "We could lose her over Chris next."
Back at camp, the men discussed how they might be able to sway the tribe to vote off Eliza next. For immunity, the tribe competed in a puzzle contest, which Ami won.
Before tribal camp, Sarge expressed how fed up he was with the women, or "Estrogen City," as he had named them. Still, he convinced Twila that if she switched over to their alliance, she would be in their final four. Chad believed they had a chance of wooing Twila and Eliza over to the men's alliance in hopes of eliminating Scout, Eliza's nemesis.
But at tribal council, seven of the nine survivors, including Chris, voted out Sarge. Sarge became the first member of the jury, while Eliza reaches the final eight.
