MAY 21 - Pretrial motions in the Timothy J. Ginocchetti case -- originally scheduled for May 21 -- have been postponed to June 4. Judge Anthony Aloi granted adjournment after the defense council appealed for a later date.

Ginocchetti, a former civil engineering major at Syracuse University, was charged with second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing his mother to death in August 2006. He pled not guilty on April 9.

The original date for the pretrial motions was set April 25 at a pretrial conference during which defense attorney Mike Vavonese presented Aloi medical reports and evaluations. Vavonese was standing in for Ginocchetti's lawyer, Emil Rossi, at the April 25 conference.
