An associate professor at Syracuse University has received numerous phone calls from an unidentified caller within the past week. Two men could be heard in some of the messages. According to a Syracuse Police Department report, the case was filed as aggravated sexual harassment. The caller left a total of five messages. Some of the five messages contained sexual comments, correct descriptions of her residence and vehicle and questions about her status as a US citizen or green card holder. One message was left entirely in French.
Two SU students on the 500 block of University Avenue were issued tickets for sound reproduction. The charges were in response to unnecessary noise that could be heard outside of their apartment as well as in a neighboring residence. A neighbor contacted the SPD with the charge, according to an SPD report.
Two seniors were charged with loitering at 1:55 a.m. Friday outside of Faegan's Pub, according to an SPD report. After ignoring several verbal commands from SPD officers, they were ticketed for standing within 50 feet of the door and obstructing pedestrian traffic.
