• Syracuse Irish Festival
o Featuring music, dancing and Irish culture (Clinton Square in Downtown Syracuse, today through Sept. 6)
SATURDAY:
• SU Football vs. Akron (Carrier Dome, 3:30 p.m.)
• Whitewater rafting trip (Group leaves from College Place, 10:30 a.m., $35.00) Event also runs on Sun., Sept. 7.
• Concert: SEVEN and Minutes Per Second (Funk 'n Waffles, 8:30-11:30 p.m.)
SUNDAY:
• Syracuse Vegfest 2008.
o The event will bring the community together to celebrate cruelty-free, environmentally sustainable lifestyles by promoting socially responsible businesses, inspiring speakers and musicians, and above all, tasty vegetarian food. (Thornden Park Amphitheatre, 10 a.m.-5 p.m, free)
• An Adirondack Journey
o New York artist William W. Christopherson will have 16 original Adirondack art pieces featured in this show at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center. All pieces will be available for purchase. (Sackets Harbor Arts Center, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., free)
• African Dance class with Nana Anim. (Westcott Community Center, 1-2 p.m.)
