I decided I would end my column writing with a bang. It has been oh so much fun with the Daily Orange gang.
That's right, I've found a new way to waste time. It's my final column and I'm going to rhyme.
I hope you don't mind my lyrical year in review, but what more fun a way is there to reflect on my time spent with you.
Chancellor Cantor supported lowering the drinking age- turns out her thoughts and ours were on the same page.
Bird Library opened for all 24 hours a day. I had a new place to procrastinate my evenings away.
Doug McGraw hypnotized, Bloc Party you couldn't miss, and Comstock's new dorm was named for Ernie Davis.
The easy little short cut to Shaw was closed, and immediately, parts of Hollywood Hookah had to be hosed.
Funk'n'Waffles had an unexpected celebrity visitor- Shaquille O'Neil was their menu inquisitor.
Shack-A-Thon Shacks made Habitat awareness grow. On the quad I saw t-shirts that said, "Don't Tase Me, Bro!"
Google took measures to prevent drunk e-mails and fml.com reported our lame epic fails.
Cosmo's waitresses went on strike, and allegedly Devendorf told one girl to take a hike.
Orange Alert was tested when gunshots occurred- to have been home safe rather than at work I would have preferred.
In other news, Palin was a VP pick, and close to her side her entire family did stick.
Obama's pick was an S.U. alum, our College of Law did Mr. Joe Biden from come.
Tina Fey took impressionism comedy to a new high, while Hillary Clinton publicly allowed herself to cry.
The election was won by the Obama squad. Overjoyed, students blasted his speech from a truck on the quad.
Fast-forward to spring semester, no longer time to be lazy. In pop culture news, Chris Brown went a little crazy.
Next year the Skyhalls will go to tranfer students and E.S.F freshman. Living scattered on North is no longer the plan.
D.C. became a madhouse and Aretha wore a big ol' hat. Inauguration photos newspapers were something to look at.
Our basketball season went incredibly well. As who returns to play next season only time will tell.
Six overtimes left even the viewers tired. If only Devendorf's shot made it before time expired!
Relay for Life joined 3000 members of our community- Raising $130k for cancer research, it was a great opportunity.
Ben Folds and Guster visited the Dome Sunday night, after girls tanned in the sun until there was no longer light.
April found Euclid's Mayfest sidewalks covered in litter, while my friends explored the addicting fun that is Twitter.
It is time to study for exams as my professors suggest. Should you care to follow my summer blog, I encourage the request.
The poem is over, thanks for sticking with it to the end. In loving memory of Bea Arthur… thank you for being a friend.
