Syracuse University Chancellor Nancy Cantor's son was found safe Sunday night after he disappeared earlier that afternoon, said Tony Callisto, chief of the Department of Public Safety.

Cantor reported her 19-year-old autistic son Archie Brechin missing around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Callisto said. He was found at 11 p.m. in fine condition though Callisto could not confirm his exact location. News 10 Now reported Brechin was found at the Westcott Community Center.

From there he was taken to University Hospital.

Syracuse police, Onondaga sheriffs and DPS conducted the search effort in downtown Syracuse Sunday.

No more details are being given at this time, Callisto said.

Just saw this. Glad that he was found and that he appears to be ok. Congrats to the Syracuse PD, Onondaga S.O. and DPS for working on this and bringing it to a favorable result. (Continued…)
